Q: Recruiting: Post Doc (M/W) for formulation and prototypage of Na-ion batteries

On the framework of NAIMA we are recruiting a candidate to participate on the research. The candidate must hold a PhD degree in Material Sciences ideally with specialization in the field of materials for electrochemical energy storage. Knowledge of electrode formulation and electrochemistry are requested ideally with experiences in cell assembling in glove box. The candidate should present ability to work independently, be organized and has a very positive attitude to work in a team on multidisciplinary topics. Fluency in spoken and written English is requested. In the context of NIAMA will be in charge of the implementation of new positive and negative electrodes into real 18650 cells in strong relation with the french company Tiamat. The activities the candidate will conduct are: Electrode preparation for aqueous hard carbon active materials Electrode preparation for organic cathode active materials Prototyping of 18650 cyclindrical cells Electrochemical testing and Validation Post Mortem analysis For more information about the remuneration and application, check the following link.

Q: NAIMA’s Consortium Online Meeting

In these tumultuous times, we have put the brakes on the production and research of the material to advance the project. Our researchers, despite this confinement, continue to look for opportunities to achieve demonstrable results and evidence to prove the objective for the creation of this project. We have not stopped. Last week we held the Consortium Meeting with more than 25 participants amongst all the partners, the meeting took place through an online platform where perspectives, comments and next steps were presented, once this quarantine that keeps us in pause is over. During the meeting, very promising results were introduced by the WP leaders and the young scientists involved in the project.
