After months of research and development between partners, NAIMA has succeeded in optimizing an electrolyte formulation for the cells the project is developing one of the main milestones. After investigating a multitude of electrolytes, between the partners from College de France, Solvay, and TIAMAT, the CSE (Chimie du Solide et Energie) electrolyte was selected.
This new electrolyte provides high cycling stability, reduces self-discharge, along inhibits gas formation during cycling.
Other milestones reach is the transport of Sodium-Ion Batteries. TIAMAT, VITO, ACCUREC and SOLVAY have designed the manufacturing process for the industrialization of Sodium-Ion technology making the complete life cycle and cost analysis of the positive active material while designing the recycling process of the technology.
